Most computer science degrees dont teach modern computer languages. You learn the basics of programming though. You will just have to learn the Java and others yourself. They are based on some old curriculum the ACM (I think), wrote up in the 90s.
Im a computer science students... my subjects is not like c++,java, web developer, why is that?
Hey !!! sounds strange ....
Why don't students from all affliated colleges meet your university VC / Chancellor and apprise him of the need to review and alter the syllabus at the earliest. Though it would have little impact for you , but your Jr.or those in the current academic session will be benefitted. Many univ. in Eastern and Southern India revise their syllabus very frequently ( every 3-5 years time)
However subjects like C, C++, Java and web dev. skills in xml, php or DBMS related packages like Oracle are need of the hour. So I advice if you are soon to step out of the college for job hunt, then do a course at any of pvt institutions in any of the topics mentioned above.
An out of track Q - can you let me to which university do you belong to ???
