I just downloaded it and I was wondering if this program is free or if you have to purchase it after 30 days? Also, what is the case for the other express products Visual Basic 2008, Visual Web Developer 2008, and Visual C++ 2008? Do those have to be bought?
Also, what is lost by using the Express version compared to the Pro?
Is Microsoft Visual C# Express 2008 free?
express is,
idk about pro,
so yeah express is free you just have to register, which doesn't include paying any money.
Pro costs dough though.
Reply:Express editions are free for all the languages, e.g. C#, VB, C++, J#,.... You don't lose anything using the express edition versus the pro, but the pro version has more features and tools for the developer and has a better MSDN library reference compared to the express editions. Now, you do have to register the express edition, which is kind of annoying, and if you don't they disable it after 30 days until you do register, but its free to do so. I would recommend you to use the express edition and learn the interface and then if you want you can purchase the pro version (if your a student its cheap otherwise its $$$$$$).
