Suppose you graduated with a Computer Science degree, then joined a Software Placement Agency or Consultancy and you got placed at a software company as, say a Java or C++ Developer %26amp; since Java was your area of specialization you did very well at the job %26amp; earned a good name at the company
Unfortunately after 2 years on the job you get laid off by the company %26amp; you are looking for a new position in the same Java field - but your placement agency force you to ignore Java and ask you to concentrate on Networks, because they secretly know that Networks jobs have higher salary than Java jobs (so that they can make more money). But you have whatsoever no background or experience in Networks %26amp; the agency provide mediocre training and they don't pay you while you are without a job or even on training (your money is draining from your savings). What will you do in this situation?
What would you do if you were in this situation?
I would take the job, try it out...see how you do....who knows maybe you end up liking it and/or being qualified enough to do your job well..and if you find out you don't like it, at least you're getting paid (eventually), and more than you supposedly would be making..and during that time you can start looking for something more in your field..in the very least you get experience with Networks which never hurts the resume.

Reply:Form my own company, lol and tell the others to go to hell^_^
Reply:Think outside the box. Move on. You already know java and you can always fall back on that but if you learn new stuff you will have new opportunities. Networking is better paid! Don't be afraid... that's what training is for! and it might take a little time but is better to struggle and learn than to drain your savings.
another thing drop the agency! it is easier but they take away so much of your paycheck!
Reply:You don't need to use an agency. You have experience AND a degree. You should be proud to walk into any company and apply. Stay with what you like to do or you'll hate going to work.
Reply:Contact www.jobsonline.net and you'll get a pile of Java job offers, guaranteed.
